The Enlisted Association of the National Guard (EANGUS) established the Building Fund during a National conference in the 80s.ย During that time, each state committed a set dollar amount per member.ย At the time of the Conference, California had a large membership base, meaning California committed to EANGUS it would pay $26,465.ย Over the years, California paid $25,160 toward the building fund, leaving $1,305 remaining for many years.ย During the 2022 Area VI & VII Mid-Winter Conference in Reno, California Enlisted Association President Josh J. Baker presented EANGUS President Karen Craig with a check for the remainder of the Building Fund California owed.ย With this presentation, all states within Area VI & VII are considered “paid in full.”
