Congress has extended the COVID-19 provisions to protect those using Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits. The provisions which were set to expire on 21 December 2020 have been extended to 21 December 2021. This means that any student who attends a resident course that converted to an online modality solely due to COVID-19 will continue to receive the monthly housing allowance rate for resident training. The law also protects work study students and those students impacted by a school closure.
