Your Association. Your Voice. Your Impact!
Following a productive 2026 CAL EANGUS State Conference in Long Beach, the California Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (CAL EANGUS) is putting plans into action with the launch of regularly scheduled committee meetings. Members are encouraged to get involved, share their perspectives, and help shape the future of the Association.
CAL EANGUS is a member-driven organization, and our success depends on the involvement of those we represent. Whether you’re a longtime member, a newly enlisted Guardsman, a retiree, or simply someone passionate about supporting our military community, there is a place for you to contribute.
Two important committees are beginning their monthly meetings, and all members are invited to participate.
Bylaws Committee
First Meeting: Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM (Pacific)
Recurring Meetings: Last Wednesday of each month at 5:00 PM

The Bylaws Committee plays an essential role in maintaining the foundation of CAL EANGUS. Responsible for reviewing and recommending updates to the Association’s governing documents, this committee helps ensure our organization remains transparent, accountable, effective, and responsive to the needs of its members.
Committee participants will review existing bylaws, identify opportunities for improvement, recommend amendments, and help ensure our organizational policies and procedures support the Association’s mission.
How can you help? Members can contribute by reviewing proposed changes, identifying outdated provisions, suggesting improvements to organizational processes, and providing valuable perspectives on how CAL EANGUS should operate.
No previous experience with bylaws or parliamentary procedures is necessary. All that’s needed is a willingness to participate and help strengthen the Association.
Resolutions & Legislative Committee
First Meeting: Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 6:00 PM (Pacific)
Recurring Meetings: First Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM

Advocacy is at the heart of CAL EANGUS, and the Resolutions & Legislative Committee helps drive our efforts to protect and improve the benefits, resources, and opportunities available to California’s National Guard members, veterans, retirees, and their families.
This committee identifies legislative priorities, reviews proposed state and federal legislation, develops resolutions, and supports advocacy initiatives that directly impact our military community.
From protecting education and employment benefits to improving quality-of-life programs and ensuring our Guard members have a voice in Sacramento and Washington, D.C., the committee helps turn member concerns into meaningful action.
How can you help? Members are encouraged to share issues affecting their units and families, research legislation, recommend policy priorities, assist with grassroots advocacy, and help communicate important issues to elected officials.
You don’t need legislative experience or a background in politics to make a difference. Your firsthand experiences as a Guard member, veteran, or family member are among the most valuable resources we have when advocating for change.
Stay Connected with the CAL EANGUS Calendar
With committee meetings, community events, legislative activities, and membership opportunities happening throughout the year, staying informed has never been more important.
Members are encouraged to subscribe to the CAL EANGUS Calendar to stay up to date on upcoming activities and opportunities to participate.

Stronger Together: Your Participation Matters!
CAL EANGUS has a proud history of advocating for the enlisted men and women of the California National Guard. That success is possible because members step forward, volunteer their time, and lend their voices to issues that matter.
Our committees provide opportunities to develop leadership skills, connect with fellow members, learn more about the Association, and make a lasting impact on the military community.
You don’t need to hold an elected position, have a special title, or be an expert to participate. You simply need the desire to make a difference.
Whether you can contribute a few ideas, attend an occasional meeting, or take an active role in committee projects, your involvement helps move CAL EANGUS forward.
This is YOUR Association. Help us build its future!
