Baker has officially stepped down as President of CAL EANGUS to focus on his role as President of EANGUS. His impact on the association and his advocacy for California’s Soldiers, Airmen, and Veterans has been immeasurable. MSG AJ Johnson will assume the role of President, and nominations are now open to fill the remaining year of the Vice President position (3-year term). Baker testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee in support of SB 694 – the Veterans Benefits Protection Act. SB 694 targets predatory “claim sharks” who charge illegal fees to help veterans file VA benefits claims, ensuring only VA-accredited representatives can provide this service. CAL-EANGUS joined 30+ military & veteran associations across California in strong support of this bill.
