Bylaws Committee Meeting

August 26 @ 17:00 - 18:00

The CAL-EANGUS Bylaws Committee is responsible for reviewing and maintaining the Association’s governing bylaws to ensure they remain current, clear, and aligned with the needs and mission of the organization.

The committee periodically reviews the bylaws, identifies areas that may require clarification or amendment, and evaluates proposed changes submitted by members or Association leadership. When changes are warranted, the committee develops recommendations and proposed language for consideration and approval through the process established in the CAL-EANGUS bylaws.

The committee also serves as a resource to help ensure Association practices remain consistent with its governing documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review the CAL-EANGUS bylaws on a regular basis.
  • Identify outdated, conflicting, or unclear provisions.
  • Review proposed amendments and recommend appropriate language.
  • Ensure proposed changes support the mission and effective governance of CAL-EANGUS.
  • Present recommended amendments through the appropriate approval process.
  • Maintain continuity and understanding of the Association’s governing structure.

In short: The Bylaws Committee helps ensure the rules that govern CAL-EANGUS remain relevant, understandable, and effective as the Association continues to grow and evolve.
