Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

The only personal data to which the California Enlisted Association shall have access are those provided voluntarily by the User.

Similarly, pursuant to the provisions of the data protection law, as well as Act 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (hereinafter, “LSSICE”), you are hereby informed that your data may be used to send you marketing and courtesy communications related to our company by telephone, post,  email or equivalent electronic means of communication.

Likewise, you are informed that your data shall be transferred when necessary for the development, compliance and control of our relationship with you as regards the service you hold with the California Enlisted Association or when authorized by a regulation equivalent to a law and, in particular, in the event of one of the following cases: a) The purpose of the processing or transfer is to satisfy a legitimate interest of the data controller or the transferee covered by said regulation; b) It is necessary to process or transfer the data for the data controller to comply with a duty enforced by said regulation.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
