2024 CAL EANGUS State Conference – Rancho Cordova, CA

The 2024 CAL EANGUS Conference is just around the corner, taking place on October 12 in Rancho Cordova, California. This year’s conference promises to be an engaging and informative event, with a special focus on training related to the legislative process and the critical role professional organizations like CAL EANGUS play in shaping legislation that impacts our Guardsmen and their families.

What to Expect

The agenda for the conference (attached below) is designed to provide members with the tools and knowledge needed to understand how legislation works and, more importantly, how we can make a difference in that process.

Our goal this year is to empower our members with practical skills to navigate the legislative system and become strong advocates for the needs and concerns of California’s National Guard community. Through hands-on training sessions, keynote presentations, and panel discussions with experienced legislative and policy professionals, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of:

• How legislation is introduced, debated, and passed at both state and federal levels
• How professional military organizations like CAL EANGUS influence policy decisions
• The most effective ways to advocate for the issues that matter to our Guardsmen

Making a Difference for Our Guardsmen

CAL EANGUS has a long-standing tradition of advocating for the well-being and advancement of enlisted Guardsmen across California. Through active involvement in the legislative process, our organization has played a pivotal role in shaping bills that improve benefits, resources, and protections for our members and their families. This conference will provide members with a clearer picture of how these efforts are undertaken and how each one of us can get involved to make a meaningful impact.

Whether you’re a seasoned advocate or new to legislative affairs, this training will equip you with valuable knowledge and strategies for effective advocacy, helping you amplify the voices of our National Guard members and ensure their needs are heard.

We encourage all CAL EANGUS members to attend this important event and take part in this critical discussion. The CAL EANGUS Conference is a unique opportunity to come together, learn, and grow as advocates for our fellow Guardsmen. Your participation helps strengthen our collective ability to influence change that directly impacts our community.  There is no registration cost and breakfast pastries, coffee and lunch catered by Corazón will be provided free of cost. Door prizes will be offered to attendees!
