CAL-EANGUS is proud to share an invitation from the California Legislative Veterans Caucus for all members, military families, veterans, and supporters to participate in the America 250 Capitol Celebration on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the California State Capitol.

As our nation prepares to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this special event will bring together Californians from every corner of the state to reflect on our shared history, honor the service and sacrifice of those who have defended our freedoms, and celebrate the enduring ideals upon which our nation was founded.

For members of CAL-EANGUS, this celebration carries an even deeper significance. The National Guard traces its roots to December 13, 1636, making it nearly 140 years older than the United States itself. Long before America declared its independence, citizen-Soldiers stood ready to defend their communities – a tradition of service that continues today through the men and women of the California National Guard.

We encourage our members to proudly represent CAL-EANGUS and the enlisted National Guard community by attending this historic celebration with family and friends.
